Responsible for a brand, product or product line including development, launch, line management, and sunsets.
Develops strategic product plans to maximize profitability and share.
Subject matter expert for brand or product line on all internal projects.
Owns the product development and launch process, ensuring for a smooth introduction.
Trains internal teams as-needed on product line.
Develop specifications of future products based on defined customer and business needs.
Conducts comparative analysis against competitors and provides strategic planning of product direction and features.
Evaluate industry trends and consumer research to meet customer needs.
Capture and analyze customer feedback via in-person meetings, phone, survey, etc.
Align with key stakeholders on new product specification.
Accurately and regularly communicate specification to global engineering and manufacturing teams to develop products.
Create plans to drive the marketing and sale of the product.
Develops and maintains tools and materials such technical and marketing literature, cutsheets, videos or other digital collateral, selection software, training, etc.
Lead for product on major marketing efforts such as AHR Expo, internal Sales Meeting, and other similar events.
Monitors sales, production and inventory trends on product line; determine appropriate pricing levels.
Participate in and often lead cross-functional teams to support product or brand.
Travel is required for customer visits, special events, and product development meetings. Estimated 25%. Majority domestic travel, some international travel may be required.
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requires at least 5 years related experience.
Requires full understanding of approaches to assessing and improving the customer value proposition.
Must be able to adapt skillset to customers of varying types (ex: Owner, Contractor, Architect, Engineer).
Must be able to creatively apply strong marketing knowledge including branding, product life-cycle, competitive positioning and communications.
Requires strong cross-functional leadership abilities.
