Job Description

The Program Management lead position is a highly motivated, self-directed individual committed to achieving significant program results. This role calls for strong interpersonal skills, critical and analytical thinking, conflict management, financial management and project management skills.

Required

  • Define strategic vision and roadmap, including expected timelines, project charters, implementation plan, technology options, proposals and capital plan

  • Partner with functional leaders and other stakeholders to identify, develop and prioritize initiatives according to corporate strategy and goals

  • Responsible for alignment of executing projects to ensure delivered within scope, quality, time, and cost requirements

  • Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough understanding of application systems and industry requirements.

  • Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering system capacity and limitations, operation time, and form of desired results

  • Responsible for escalations on projects and providing consultative support to internal staff

  • Participates in IT financial management activities including annual budgeting cycle, project estimating, capital approval process, project budget oversight, and resource time tracking.

  • Responsible for multi-year planning to determine broad direction, prioritize projects and evaluate ROI within a functional sub-area.

  • Partners with multi-departmental leadership and other stakeholders to identify opportunities and develop roadmap that prioritizes projects

  • Must be able to engage project managers/teams to drive completion of projects without direct managerial authority

  • Identify and drive the program and resource priorities that align with business objectives and execute plans that drive toward goal achievement

  • Partner with Corporate IT and business area leaders across multiple functions to identify and plan major projects.

  • Develop and manage key relationships across a broad sphere of influence in a matrix organization

  • Partner with functional leaders and other stakeholders to identify, develop and prioritize initiatives according to corporate strategy and goals.

  • Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough understanding of application systems and industry requirements

Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Requires at least 8 years related experience in project management roles

  • Extensive program and project management experience with ability to work independently

  • Strong ability to facilitate project management processes both with IT and business participants

  • Ability to influence without authority

  • Strong people management and organizational skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate with Executives / Senior Management across the organization

  • This individual must possess the ability to lead and navigate across departments while developing and maintaining relationships that will help drive initiatives forward

  • Must have excellent written and verbal skills

  • Certified Project Manager ( PMP)
