Job Description

Are you interested in gaining real work experience while working a part-time internship?

This position is likely to last six months or more!

We're looking for a student majoring or minoring in Computer Science, IT or MIS.

Our Walk-up Tech Cafe requires the talents and skills of an enthusiastic Front Desk Agent. A successful candidate will be outgoing and friendly with a gregarious personality and a natural talent for customer service. We want our customers to know their issues will be resolved when visiting the Tech Cafe and the experience will be great.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-person first level support and convey resolutions to customer issues

  • Properly escalate unresolved queries to the next level of support

  • Track, route and redirect problems to correct resources

  • Walk customers through problem solving process

  • Follow up with customers, provide feedback and see problems through to resolution

  • Utilize excellent customer service skills and exceed customers’ expectations

  • Ensure proper recording, documentation and closure

  • Recommended procedure modifications or improvements

  • Preserve and grow your knowledge of help desk procedures, products and services

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working experience in providing help desk support

  • Advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills

  • College or Technology student

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of help desk software, mobile devices, collaboration software and office application

  • Knowledge of hardware PC and Mobile

  • Strong client-facing and communication skills

  • Customer service orientation

Ideal schedule: 10 AM – 2 PM with some flexibility
