Job Description

The Accelerate Internship provides a developmental path for professional growth to join the Finance Leadership Development Program (FLDP). Our intent is to hire successful Accelerate Interns into full-time positions upon graduation in May 2021, therefore only rising seniors will be considered. Interns will work full-time during the Summer of 2020.

This internship is designed to provide experience within a public company’s Business Compliance Department. As the Accelerate Finance Intern , you will assist in compliance projects covering the company’s operations to determine if functional areas are conducting operations in accordance with established guidelines, policies, procedures and governmental and legal requirements.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Reviews assigned portions of compliance audits of various departments to determine their liability and effectiveness.

  • Documents results and identifies deviations and exceptions.

  • Assists in preparing reports that present results of the compliance project and recommended corrective actions.

  • Researches issues and may make basic recommendations to improve policies or procedures accordingly.

  • Assists the business in implementing new processes and procedures to improve on existing operations.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • High school diploma required; this is an entry level opportunity

  • Student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Finance / Accounting at an accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 3.25

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent collaboration and teaming skills

  • Ability to quickly learn and contribute to new projects and technologies

  • Self-driven, results oriented

  • Must be well organized and detail oriented with good analytical abilities and problem solving skills

  • Ability to manage time, and prioritize tasks with a sense of urgency
