Advanced Distributor Products has an immediate opening for a smart, talented engineer within our Advanced Engineering Team. This is a full-time position at our 360,000 sq.ft. manufacturing facility in Grenada, MS. The business produces a $250 Million revenue stream and competes globally through rapid implementation of innovation and high-technology within its products and manufacturing operation.
Key responsibilities include:
Plans, designs, purchases, and/or implements integrated manufacturing assembly or fabrication processes in a manufacturing plant.
Determines the manufacturing processes required to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification.
Works with engineering to identify problems with product and performance and recommends solutions. Plans and designs methods to improve efficiency in production; train line employees on new processes and methods.
Work to improve equipment availability and capability by utilizing continuous improvement tools and working cross functionally.
Help define manufacturing standard working methods
Supports capital acquisition and capacity planning and change control.
Coaches and mentors less experienced Manufacturing Engineers.
Other duties and responsibilities as directed
BS in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical).
3-5 years’ experience.
Experience in sheet metal operations including tooling (turret presses, press brakes, hard die presses, etc.)
Finn Power & Amada turret press programming & nesting software experience preferred
Fundamentals of Manufacturing
Fundamentals of Industrial Engineering
Problem solving & Quality improvement
Operator workstation design
Fundamentals of Ergonomics
Fundamentals of Controls Engineering
LEAN, 6-SIGMA, KAIZEN certification and experience preferable
